What do Wall Street and welfare have in common? They can't stop the plan of God! Teresita has seen both sides, as a single parent on welfare and as a vice president in a major financial institution. Although her signature can be found on millions and millions of dollars in bonds, it is her determination to accomplish her God given assignment that has become the driving force behind her writing, speaking and leadership of In His Season, Inc. Because of the wealth of her unique life experiences, she brings a perspective that is practical and yet profound.
The founder, President and CEO of In His Season, Inc. She is an author, business woman and single parent who went from welfare to become a Vice President in a major financial institution. Nearly a decade after graduating from high school, and as a single parent, she returned to school and attended the City University of New York, the College of Staten Island, where she earned a bachelors degree in English. While attending college Ms. Glasgow took part in a program given by a company known as New York Works, the program was designed to train welfare recipients as securities processors. She completed the training in securities processing and was hired by Bankers Trust Company. Continuing to seek opportunities, she returned to school again attending the Lawyer's Assistant Program at Adelphi University in New York, where she received an honors certificate as a paralegal. The corporate trust industry requires legal document review, bond document negotiation, and bond closings. The paralegal studies helped to enhance her career although, she had already moved from the operations department to the administrative side of the business prior to receiving the certificate. To further solidify her place within the industry, she became certified as a Certified Corporate Trust Specialist (CCTS), by completing and passing the exam given by the Institute of Certified Bankers, an affiliate of the American Bankers Association. During her career she went from, securities processor to bond administrator, trust officer, assistant vice president, and finally vice president. Her signature can be found as the authenticating signature for millions if not billions of dollars of bonds. She has represented several large banks in various types of bond financing during her career. In 1999, she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia to help with a book of business that had been acquired by her employer, U.S. Bank Trust National Association, one of the largest providers of corporate trust services in the United States. In 2000, she joined the corporate trust department at First Union, ( now, Wachovia Bank, N.A.). During her tenure as a vice president in the corporate trust department of Wachovia Bank in Atlanta, Georgia, she was the relationship manager for several bond issuers in Atlanta. She also served as an original member of the Wachovia Capital Markets Group Diversity Counsel and was a founding member of its first Employee Resource Network. In 2003 Ms. Glasgow found herself without a job after many years of dedication and hard work. The one truth that strengthened her throughout the ten long months of unemployment that followed was that God had not brought her this far to take her back again; she realized that He must have something better for her. Armed with her faith and her tenacious never give up attitude, she began to write her first book Destiny Seven Steps to Finding and Fulfilling Your Purpose in Life. Destiny was published in April 2005 by iUniverse and received the Publishers Choice designation. Ms. Glasgow learned that in trial and triumph, in adversity and joy, in rebellion or obedience, when God calls you, He has called you. Though you may experience all the things that this life has to offer or merely exist on the very fringe of society; In His Season, He will compel you to come. Ms. Glasgow says that there are those who either by birth or circumstance have been left behind in a growing divide between the haves and the have nots. Her goal is to encourage and motivate individuals by sharing biblical truth, personal examples and information obtained through her years in the business world. She is excited about helping others to discover their potential and to move toward their destiny. Ms. Glasgow is a native of Washington D.C., She left home much like the prodigal son and made many mistakes before finding her way back to Christ in 1984. The grand daughter of a Pentecostal Bishop, she quickly acknowledges her Christian faith, it is her belief in Jesus Christ that she credits for her success. And it is also her faith that she credits for this season in her life. In His Season, Inc. was birthed out of adversity to testify to the glory of God and to help others find their way. Bernard, Pastor of the Christian Cultural Center, Brooklyn, New York, formerly, Christian Life Centre. Mike Murdock, Pastor of the Wisdom Center in Denton Texas. Church Affiliation & Memberships Ms. Glasgow is a member of Faith Christian Center in Smyrna, GA. where Pastor Joel Gregory is Pastor, she has served in several auxiliaries including the Children’s Church and the Ministry Room. Ms. Glasgow has also served as a Woman of Virtue Touch Group Leader and she is a graduate of the Faith Christian Center School of Leaders and the Faith School of Ministry. She received her minister's license from Word of Faith International Christian Center under the leadership of Bishop Keith A. Butler. Ms. Glasgow is a member of The Word of Faith Ministerial Association and Toastmaster's International.
